So it is that time of month again, my Glossybox is waiting for me in my recycling bin (thanks Mr Postman) And what a month! As it is November, the nights are drawing darker and Christmas is rapidly creeping up on us, this box totally encapsulates that for me.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – in Fire & Ice
This month we had an email to choose the lipstick colour, obviously I chose red because I breathe red lipstick along with Oxygen. This is a gorgeous bright shade and I think it will come in handy for the party season. It is also really moisturising, it says it is infused with Vitamin E and Avocado oil and I can tell, its so smooth and silky on the lips, not at all drying, and just what you want when the weather starts getting colder and our lips can become sore and chapped. You can see from the sheen on my swatch below how hydrating this is.
Full Size – £7.99
MUA Eyeshadow Palette – Undressed
Nothing says Christmas party season than some gorgeous metallic shimmery eyeshadows! This palette is fab, it really has something for everyone, from pale shimmery tones to gorgeous Cleopatra like gold and bronze shades. I have swatched all of this palette and it is totally fab! The top layer are paler and more suitable for perhaps a nice Christmassy family get-together, whereas the bottom layer are more pigmented darker colours for your big Christmas nights out.
Full size – £4 (I know £4! I could not believe it either)
Royal Apothic Body Lotion
Just what we need to survive the winter chill! You really cannot moisturise enough during the winter months, our skin starts to dry out as soon as your turn your heating on and can become flakey, chapped and sore. This body cream smells divine, it has an earthy botanic scent and it is lovely and rich, perfect for nourishing the skin. Its a good size as well, so it is perfect for your gym bag or desk drawer. Keep it on hand incase you need a moisture boost!
Travel size, not sure what size this is, but the Full Size is – £14.50
Emite Diamond Heart Primer
I have to admit I have not tried this on my face yet. I usually use Illamasqua Hydra Veil, however, I have high hopes for this. I tried it onto the back of my hand and I was at first a bit shocked to see the vibrant salmon pink colour, but once I rubbed it in it made sense. It left my skin feeling very very hydrated, it was not greasy or slimy at all, a perfect base to apply foundation without any dry patches.
This is Travel size, the Full Size is – £25.90
Eylure – Natural Lashes
Oh Glossybox, you know me too well. Lashes are my favourite thing, I have boxes of them and I like to make my own by cutting and glueing them together. To be honest these are a little subtle for my liking, however they are perfect if you are just discovering the world of false eyelashes. Eylure are also one of my favourite brands, they have a huge selection. These are going to be fabulous for the upcoming party season, and would be ideal to keep in your handbag if you had to go straight out from work. They are easy to apply and you can use them again and again.
