Well, we were promised something special for the July Glossybox and my word they most certainly did not disappoint!
Firstly I need to discuss the actual box we have received, and it is exquisite! It features original artwork from Jamie Lee Reardin who has basically worked with anyone who is anyone in the fashion world, did someone say Chanel, Dior, Givenchy? Anyway the box is beyond fabulous and I am planning on doing something lovely with it.
So first up, Noxidoxi Enhancing Serum Base.
I have to admit I have not heard of this brand before so this will be a new one for me. The info card states the serum “Has a CRC6 moisturising complex, which hydrates the skins surface as well as the deeper layers” Well anything that protects my skin sounds good to me, and in summer especially. I find that my skin can get clogged with sun cream and become dull from pollution so it is good to have a product that you know has your back, it also smells lovely, a bit like baby lotion so I know I will enjoy using this product.
This product usually comes in 30mls size and comes with an applicator sponge, this is a 25ml sample. The full size retails at £33.46
Another new brand! Well new to me anyhow! I did a bit of research and this is a major make up brand over in France and it is not hard to see why! This balm not only soothes and softens, it also protects from UV rays and is also paraben free. It is a lovely smooth silky balm, not a hint of stickiness. This will definitely be in my handbag from now on!
This is a full-size product and retails at £4.15
Another new product! I have quite oily skin so I am always on the lookout for anything that will refine without being harsh on my skin. The perfect skin refiner has both hyaluronic and glycolic acid to resurface the skin without being harsh and stripping anything away. This is recommended to be used every other night to begin with and to use a high SPF the day after the prevent any damage to the skin. I tried this out and I have to say I really like it. When it is is applied it does tingle a little at first but that fades away after a couple of minutes.
The 50ml full size of this product retails at £70
Finally a product I have heard of! Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Cream
I have used Vichy products before and have always loved them! Vichy is a cult brand in France and is quickly making a name for itself here too. This cream is designed to rehydrate and plump the skin by boosting hydration, which allows the skin to renew naturally. This cream is lightweight so it is not heavy on my skin, I have naturally oily skin so anything too thick can clog my pores and create breakouts. I enjoyed using this cream and my skin definitely looked refined and full, I would point out though, it does not contain an SPF so if you are going sans make up make sure you apply a broad spectrum SPF with this cream.
The 100ml full size retails at £31
Last but not least, the Glossybox travel pouch, featuring an original design by Jamie Lee Reardin! This pouch is fab and perfect for keeping a few make up/skincare essentials in my handbag, it is really nicely made and the design is just gorgeous!
So thats it, the Glossybox July 2015 Vive La France edition, and it is possibly one of my favourite beauty boxes of all time. The products are fantastic quality and the box itself in immense! Well done Glossybox!
